The Brendit 8-Signal System: our entity methodology in detail

The Brendit 8-Signal System is our named entity methodology: entity home and schema, Wikidata, Wikipedia, authoritative databases, press citations, social consistency, image assets, and claim and maintenance. Eight signals, built in a fixed order and documented individually - because a Knowledge Panel never comes from one measure, but from how they work together.

GOOGLE-VERIFIZIERT

Signal 01 - Entity home

Your website as the source of truth - with Person or Organization schema and a full sameAs graph. One entity, one page, one permanently reachable URL.

Signal 02 - Wikidata

A clean item with correct properties and external references - the direct line into the Knowledge Graph. Sourced statements count; unsourced ones get deleted.

FACHMAGAZINKONSISTENTE DATEN ÜBER ALLE QUELLEN
Presse, Profile und Datenbanken sagen dasselbe - konsistent belegt.

Signal 03 - Wikipedia

Only when notability is genuine - a deleted article does more harm than none at all. We check the criteria honestly first, and we say no when the answer is no.

Signal 04 - Authoritative databases

Crunchbase, IMDb, ISNI, ORCID, Google Books - the right authoritative directories for your profile type. Fit beats volume.

Signal 05 - Press citations

Independent coverage and advertorials as a citation base - clearly labeled, credibly placed, and with identical name and role details throughout.

Signal 06 - Social consistency

Exactly the same name, facts and bio everywhere. Inconsistency is the most common panel blocker, and also the cheapest one to fix.

Signal 07 - Image assets

Professional images with optimized file names and alt text, permanently available at the same URL - so Google shows the right face.

Signal 08 - Claim and maintenance

Verifying the panel (the "Google checkmark"), handing over control, and an ongoing update process. A panel stays only as stable as the signal base beneath it.

Why the order matters

Press without an entity home fizzles out, Wikidata without references gets deleted, and a Wikipedia attempt without notability leaves a publicly visible deletion discussion. So we work the signals in a fixed order: foundation first, then anchoring, then amplification.
